What is Second Breakfast (or Bone Meal) for?

A limited time hydro unit. The Second Breakfast is needed when building the Initial Hobbit Hydro Hole and is available through gifts or visiting neighbors. The Bone Meal was for the Hydro Crypt. Second Breakfast and the Hobbit Hydro are available through the end of the Fantasy Theme. (Bone Meal and the Hydro Crypt wre only available through the end of the Halloween theme.) Do Tendril Plants do anything special? Or bats, or alien fungi, or...

Most things don't. Check out a complete list of 'repeaters' (items that generate things).

What are water pumps for? (or surveillance cameras, generators, fans, charcoal filters, or grow lights.)

They are all hydroponics parts.

What happened to my guano? I 'used it' and it disappeared.

It didn't disappear. When you USE guano from your gift box, it immediately gets added to your total guano on the lower left of the game. That means that you can now use guano from jitters and the newsfeed to fertilize hydroponic structures!

Can we get more land?

We can only get what's listed on the Land page. Supercropping and hydroponics were introduced to help fit more on your farm.

Where do I find the off-Facebook Pot Farm site to buy jackpot seeds (or many other items and seeds) for Pot Bucks?

Do I need to "connect with Facebook" even on the off-Facebook site?

Yes.

Can I use my gift seeds in hydroponic structures?

No. It is not a feature of hydroponics. The developers have said they have no plans to include such a feature in the game.

What are the Cocoa Trees and Cocoa Pods used for and how do I get them?

How can I let some friends see my Pot Farm posts and block it from others?

Instead of indicating specific friends each time, you can also specify a list of friends. For instructions on creating friend lists, here's a great article that explains it: How to Use Facebook Privacy Settings and Avoid Disaster

None of my seeds post. What do I do? OR, when I post critters or mystery seeds, it no longer gives me no choice to "save" for certain special peeps. How do I get this option back?

This is usually a result of using the in-game camera feature to take a photo of your farm (or otherwise allowing Pot Farm to post to your wall).

Allowing Pot Farm access can start allowing at least some of your critter and mystery seed posts to go through automatically without showing the Facebook pop-up allowing you to comment or define who sees them. It can also prevent posts from appearing on your wall all together. To correct this issue, go to your profile page. Click on "Account" in the upper right. From the drop-down menu, select "Privacy Settings." On the Privacy page, go to the lower left corner under Apps and Websites and select "Edit your settings". Next to "Apps you use", click Edit Settings. Find Pot Farm and click Edit Settings. Find the option for "Post to my wall" and click remove. That should put things back to normal.

How do I get on the mailing list? I want Jitters and other free stuff!

I bought $20 in pot bucks with my credit card but haven't gotten them. What do I do?

Contact the processing company for the credit card transaction, "Social Gold". Click on the buy pot bucks icon in the game. Then, in the lower right corner of the credit card transaction page, you'll see a tiny link "Missing Pot Bucks? Contact Social Gold Support". Click on that and let them know what happened.

I completed an offer through the game to earn Pot Bucks, but I never received them. What I can do to get them?

All of these offers are through a separte company that is outside of Pot Farm's control. It is this way with most games that make such offers available. They are run by a group called Super Rewards. If you go to http://apps.facebook.com/mypotfarm/rewards.php you'll see an orange help link. Click on that and it should show you the status of your offers pending. You should then be able to report an offer not received. I even recommend setting up an account with Super Rewards at www.superrewards.com to be able to better deal with these offers and to simplify the complaint process. Good luck.

I accidentally removed Pot Farm notices from my News Feed. How do I get them back?

• Make sure Top News is selected for News Feed.
• Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Edit Options.
• Click the Applications tab.
• Find Pot Farm.
• Click on Add to News Feed.

I planted 'ranger approved' crops, but they don't increase my protection. Why not?

Plants that provide protection ONLY do so after they are fully grown.

When I try playing the game through Facebook, I get a white screen. I get the same white screen when clicking on links from email newsletters, the news feed or posts on my wall. What can I do?

This is a known glitch that has been resolved for many players. If you are still having this problem, try using the off-facebook version of Pot Farm at http://thepotfarmgame.com.

If the above link works for you, and you can't get the bonuses people post on your wall (or in the news feed or email), here's a handy tool for you! Have your news feed or wall open in one tab and this page open in another. Then, rather than clicking the link posted on your wall, right click the link you'd usually click to collect the bonus, and select 'copy link location'. Come back to this page and click this button...

You'll get a popup telling you to paste the link that you copied from your wall or newsfeed and click OK. It will open the link in a new tab with no white screen! Then you can go back to the tab with your news feed, copy another link, come back to this page, click the button again, and repeat. SHARE

How can I get more neighbors?

How often can you visit neighbors' farms and receive experience for "Helping"?

You can earn XP when you visit each neighbor's farm up to a max of 1 time per 8 hour period. That means, if you're a ninja, you can visit each neighbor's farm 3 times per day (each neighbor, 3 times, 24 hours) .. but we do recommend sleeping at night.

How much do you get back on items when you sell them?

• If you buy something that costs coins, you get back 20% of the purchase price if you sell.
• If you buy something that costs pot bucks, you get back 100x coins. (For example, if it costs $9 pot bucks, you get back 900 coins.)
• If you have a choice of buying an item with pot bucks or coins, the system does not remember what you bought it with. It simply gives you 20% of the coin purchase price. This is what is shown in my charts.

Understand that I am NOT a developer of this game. I'm an unpaid volunteer. PLEASE RESPECT MY TIME. Do NOT email me questions or problems with the game, requests for gifts, friend suggestions, group distribution emails, page or other game suggestions, pokes, tag me in photos, etc.

I cannot act as a go between for players problems. First, I simply don't have the time. I'm one guy running a website and a number of discussion groups. Second, if I started bringing players problems to them, the developers would likely stop giving me the information that they do. They have very little time for me as it is. I want to make the most of it for the greatest number of players. Besides, isn't that asking a lot from an unpaid volunteer?!?
