Can we get more land?

We can only get what's listed on the Land page. Supercropping and hydroponics were introduced to help fit more on your farm. The developers have stated repeatedly that the game cannot handle more land.

Where can I find the Dementoad or "3rd Eye" Critters?

The Dementoad is a rare drop from the Mystery Critter gift. Send a bunch to neighbors and get them back, or mooch them from the Gifts page. You can also mooch Mystery Critters in the PFI Mooch Group.

Third-Eye Critters are also only available from the Mystery Critter gifts.

Where do I find the off-Facebook Pot Farm site to buy jackpot seeds (or many other items and seeds) for Pot Bucks?

www.thepotfarmgame.com (However, as of December 2012, it's no longer available. This is due to Facebook changes that the developers need to catch up with. They do not expect it to return.

Can I use my gift seeds in hydroponic structures?

No. It is not a feature of hydroponics. The developers have said they have no plans to ever include such a feature in the game. (I guess they realize that many players would never buy seeds again if they could hydro gifts!)

How do I store things or get things out of storage?

What happened to my guano? I 'used it' and it disappeared.

It didn't disappear. When you USE guano from your gift box, it immediately gets added to your total guano on the lower left of the game.

How do I start the Hydro Van?

What can I do if I purchased item(s) or plant(s) but did not get them?

First, reload. If you still don't have what you purchased (on your farm or in your gift box)...

Contact Pot Farm Support. Be sure to include: what you were buying, with what (credits, pot bucks, coins), and state whether you had a FB credit balance or not. The more information you give, the more efficiently the devs can deal with the problem.

What can I do if an item has disappeared from my farm?

First, reload the game. If that doesn't bring it back and it's not in storage, Contact Pot Farm Support.

What are Potions, Carrots, Bones and Blood, Second Breakfast, etc. for?

Most of these strange items that can't be placed on your farm are for quests or building items (such as hydroponic structures). See the Products Page for details.

Can I send something in my gift box or stash to another player?

Nope. There is no way of giving an item in your gift box or stash to someone else.

Does [insert item name here] DO anything?

Most things don't do anything. Check out a complete list of 'repeaters' (items that generate products). Also, check out the Items Page to see all the details for all the items.

I completed an offer through the game to earn Facebook Credits, but I never received them. What I can do to get them?

Click the "Pot Bucks" tab in the top of the game. Then click the blue button labeled "Earn Facebook Credits". Click the HELP button in the top right of the new popup. This has a handy FAQ page that should explain. There's also a link to "See My Offer Status".

Note: These offers are handled by TrialPay, NOT Pot Farm. Use the instructions above to contact them to sort out any problems.

What are the Cocoa Trees and Cocoa Pods used for and how do I get them?

How can I let some friends see my Pot Farm posts and block it from others?

Instead of indicating specific friends each time, you can also specify a list of friends. For instructions on creating friend lists, here's a great article that explains it: How to Use Facebook Privacy Settings and Avoid Disaster

When I try to share (critters, mystery seeds, etc.), it no longer gives me no choice to "save" for certain special peeps. How do I get this option back?

This is usually a result of using the in-game camera feature to take a photo of your farm (or otherwise allowing Pot Farm to post to your wall).

Allowing Pot Farm access can start allowing at least some of your critter and mystery seed posts to go through automatically without showing the Facebook pop-up allowing you to comment or define who sees them. It can also prevent posts from appearing on your wall all together. To correct this issue, go to your profile page. Click on "Account" in the upper right. From the drop-down menu, select "Privacy Settings." On the Privacy page, go to the lower left corner under Apps and Websites and select "Edit your settings". Next to "Apps you use", click Edit Settings. Find Pot Farm and click Edit Settings. Find the option for "Post to my wall" and click remove. That should put things back to normal.

How do I get on the mailing list? I want free stuff!

Click "Get Updates" in the top banner of the game. Be aware that they've had problems with their email system for quite some time. Even if you join the mailing list, you may not get much. It's worth a try though. Email is sent to your main Facebook email address.

I bought $20 in pot bucks with my credit card but haven't gotten them. What do I do?

Contact the processing company for the credit card transaction, "Social Gold". Click on the buy pot bucks icon in the game. Then, in the lower right corner of the credit card transaction page, you'll see a tiny link "Missing Pot Bucks? Contact Social Gold Support". Click on that and let them know what happened.

I planted 'ranger approved' crops, but they don't increase my protection. Why not?

Plants that provide protection ONLY do so after they are fully grown.

How can I get more neighbors?

How often can you visit neighbors' farms and receive experience for "Helping"?

You can earn XP when you visit each neighbor's farm up to a max of 1 time per 8 hour period. That means, if you're a ninja, you can visit each neighbor's farm 3 times per day (each neighbor, 3 times, 24 hours) .. but we do recommend sleeping at night.

How can I get more gifts?

Send gifts to all of your neighbors. Also, join the PFI MOOCH GROUP.

How much do you get back on items when you sell them?

• If you buy something that costs coins, you typically get back 20% of the purchase price if you sell.
• If you buy something that costs pot bucks, you typically get back 100x coins. (For example, if it costs $9 pot bucks, you get back 900 coins.)
• If you have a choice of buying an item with pot bucks or coins, the system does not remember what you bought it with. It simply gives you 20% of the coin purchase price. This is what is shown in my charts.
• Some item resales prices are arbitrary and are only zero or 1 coin. These are items that aren't intended to be sold for profit.

Hey, dude. Will you be my neighbor?

Sure. I'm usually maxed out at Facebook's limit of 5,000 friends though. If you can send me an invite, go for it. If you have Pot Farm related posts on your wall, I'm happy to accept. I just ask that you not send me a bunch of invites to other games, pokes, private messages, etc. (I have a discussion group for questions. Please use that rather than emailing me.) If you want even more neighbors, visit the PFI Add page.

How can I contact you?

Understand that I am NOT a developer of this game. I'm an unpaid volunteer. PLEASE RESPECT MY TIME. Do NOT email me questions or problems with the game, requests for gifts, friend suggestions, group distribution emails, page or other game suggestions, pokes, tag me in photos, etc.

I cannot act as a go between for players problems. First, I simply don't have the time. I'm one guy running a website and a number of discussion groups. Second, if I started bringing players problems to them, the developers would likely stop giving me the information that they do. They have very little time for me as it is. I want to make the most of it for the greatest number of players. Besides, isn't that asking a lot from an unpaid volunteer?!?

I have a discussion group for questions. Please use that rather than emailing me. (And address questions in the group TO THE GROUP. That way, anyone can help you.)
