This guide answers most questions about how the game is SUPPOSED to work. And that's the goal of this site. I am, afterall, just another player.

So, what do you do if you're having technical problems? First, try a few things yourself...

• If you're missing something, or things are acting weird, simply reload the game. (The old IT suggestion of "turn it off and back on" is so popular because it often works.)
• Next, try a different site. There are two ways to access Pot Farm. Make sure you've tried both sites before reporting a problem.
• On Facebook at https://apps.facebook.com/mypotfarm/play.php
• Off-Facebook at www.thepotfarmgame.com.
• If you're having problems visiting neighbors, see the green headers below for some more information.

Next, check Pot Farm's Forum for answers. (If it's you're first time there, you'll need to allow the forum app.)

• How to Get Jitterz
• If you purchased items or plants with FACEBOOK CREDITS and didn't get them
• If an Item Has Disappeared From Your Farm

If those tips don't work, you'll need to contact Pot Farm's developers directly. You can go to their Fan Page at http://www.facebook.com/potfarm and use the 'Contact Developer' link on the left. OR, try using their FORUM.

PLEASE, when contacting support, remember this... they'll be much more inclined to help if you explain your problem clearly and completely AND if you're nice about it. Cursing them out is bad mojo, man.

POSTING PROBLEM 12/28/11 (FIXED) Share www.potfarm.info/support.php#1228

It appears that everyone was getting this error when trying to post anything to Facebook from Pot Farm. No conspiracy. Not "the Man" trying to hassle us. No need to start petitions or calling Facebook. The developers resolved this problem in less than 12 hours. If you'd like to chat about this on my discussion boards, PLEASE DISCUSS on THIS THREAD on my page or THIS THREAD in my group rather than starting new threads. Remember, these 2 forums are managed by another player, NOT Pot Farm.

Here's something the developers posted while working on the problem: The important thing that every good Pot Farmer can do is to be positive!! Don't lash out on Facebook or post negative posts!! Talk about how much you love Pot Farm and be generally awesome!! This will help us get through this quicker!!

11/22/11 Update from PF Support: Visiting neighbors problem: SHARE

"Hey fans, thanks to all who have reported issues with loading up neighbours farms and for all the feedback on the Use All button being too easy to accidentally click.

We have now launched some big changes that should greatly improve your neighbour visiting experience as well as a confirmation step when using Pot Heads and selling items from your stash. YEEEEEEAAAAH!!!!! Expect more improvements soon and please close and reopen your browser then click back into Pot Farm to see if visiting neighbours is faster for you!"

10/27/11 Update from PF Support: Visiting neighbors problem:

Pot Farm finally found a new developer to join their team to tackle the Visiting Neighbors Problem and just they started today! Let's hope that means the problem gets resolved soon! I'm told their next projects after that will be the loading/lag problems many are experiencing.

9/14/11 Update from PF Support: Visiting neighbors problem:

The problem with Visiting Neighbors has been assigned a bug ticket and Pot Farm is hiring a new developer to resolve it. These things take time but the devs care a lot about Pot Farm players and they assure me that once this new developer comes onto the team they will have him or her work on that bug before any other.

For the time being you may be able to improve the visiting experience by doing some of these things if you can:

1. closing everything else! Close other programs
2. start from your lowest level neighbors and work your way up. Low levels generally have less animating objects on their farms
3. clear your internet cache and switch your web browser to Google Chrome!

If there are particular neighbors that always give you trouble (aka not random neighbors every time) please let PF Support know their Facebook url... Look them up in your friends list, go to their FB account, copy what's in the address bar and paste that in a message to the developers using the "contact developer" link on the Pot Farm Wall and explain what's happening.
