URGENT TOOLBAR NOTICE:

On April 19th, the devs made some major changes to gifting and just worked out the last of the kinks on May 9th. These changes stopped the gifting buttons on the toolbar from working.

The gifting buttons on the toolbar will be down indefinitely. With the recent fix to mooch posts through the game, I still have hope that this may be resolved.

Anyone wishing to encourage the devs to help out with this, please give this 3 votes HERE. (If you comment, please be nice about it. No one responds well to threats or abuse.)

This toolbar is published through Conduit. It's just like having a facebook page. I provide the content and they publish it. You can read about them on their site.

SENDING GIFTS: EASY INSTRUCTIONS: PLEASE READ!

• 1) Highlight a player's ID number (*see next section for ID info).
• 2) Click the gift button corresponding to what you want to send.
• You will be taken to the game. GIFT SENT!

What to expect: When sending gifts with the toolbar, you will get no indication that the gift was sent. If the game opens in a new tab and the URL in the address bar changes from a very long link to https://apps.facebook.com/mypotfarm/play.php, then it's very likely the gift was sent. (If you click a gift button and it does NOT open the game in a new tab, it DID NOT send. You probably need to turn off the popup blocker in your browser settings.)

At what point does it actually send? It's generally believed that the gift is actually sent when the url switches from a very long one to a shorter one ending in play.php. I usually give it at least a couple more seconds though just to be safe. It does not need to load completely.

You can only send one gift to a person in any 24 hour period. If you try sending more than that, it will still do the same thing, but it won't send another one.

If you don't see the gift button you're looking for, try clicking >> at the far right of the toolbar to see the buttons that don't fit on your screen.

TIP: To highlight an id #, either double click it, or click (holding the mouse button down), drag the mouse over the entire number, and then release the mouse button. (Be careful to only include the number and no extra characters.)

Firefox and Chrome Users: You can find anyone's ID. Go to their profile page (or your own). Then, click the GET ID button on the toolbar. This will show you the ID number. WARNING: If you're looking for your own id and do not see YOUR name after using the GET ID button, you've done something wrong. YOU MUST be on your OWN profile page to get your id number.

The GetID button WILL NOT WORK for Internet Explorer users.

NOTE: For players who haven't selected an alias for their account, no buttons are needed. If you go to a profile page and the url has "id=000000000" at the end, the number after "id=" is the id number (the zeros are just an example of format.)

FIND YOUR OWN ID NUMBER:

When posting a request, it helps senders if you post YOUR ID NUMBER. This new toolbar feature will automatically show you your id number.

• Make sure you're logged in to Facebook.
• Click the new MY ID BUTTON.
• The first time you go there, you will be asked to allow the site basic Facebook permission. (NO PERSONAL INFO is saved, tracked, or shared!)
• The site will show you your ID number.
• Copy (ctrl+c) and paste it (ctrl+v) into the mooch group when making a request.
